You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure guests' needs are met and resolving any issues that may arise.
Host duties and responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome
- Show guests to their table and present menus
- Answer any questions guests may have about the menu or restaurant
- Take reservations and manage the waiting list
- Ensure the restaurant is clean and tidy at all times
- Assist servers with bringing food and drinks to tables
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
