Telecommunications Specialist duties and responsibilities
- Maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures
- Prepare training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery
- Assist Network Engineering with deployment of company LANs, WANs, Voice and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches, UPS, and other hardware
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards
- Suggest and implement innovative networking solutions
- Attend relevant workshops and educational programs
- Configure and test networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation
- Monitor and troubleshoot problems as needed
- Prepare and present network performance statistics and reports
Telecommunications Specialist requirements and qualifications
- X years of experience as a Telecommunications Specialist or relevant role
- X years of experience with MS Office and databases
- X years of experience in Managing and troubleshooting Network in a Global setup
- Certification in Cisco CCNA
- X years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
- Ability to handle/track/write/communicate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documents
- Certification in Cisco CCNA at a minimum (CCNP a Plus)
- X years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
- X years of experience with all telecommunications systems
