Workers compensation definition

Workers compensation refers to a type of insurance program that ensures employees for injuries and illnesses connected to a specific job.
Usually, the portion of employee’s wage/salary is received by an employee after sustaining a work-related injury, while they are off work for the injury or illness treatment.
The benefit of this is that worker doesn’t need to go through a process of claiming negligence in order to receive benefits, but this also means the employee generally can’t sue the employer for his or her injuries.
