Wrongful termination, also known as wrongful dismissal or wrongful discharge refers to a situation where an employee’s contact has been terminated by an employer in a way that breaches the terms of the contract of employment or the employment law itself.

Wrongful termination, also known as wrongful dismissal or wrongful discharge refers to a situation where an employee’s contact has been terminated by an employer in a way that breaches the terms of the contract of employment or the employment law itself.

Wrongful terminations are unfortunately fairly common and usually result in a lawsuit followed by high expenses for an employer.

Most common reasons for wrongful terminations include:

• Sexual harassment

• Breach of contract

• Discrimination

• Invasion of privacy

• Retaliation
