Bring your own device (BYOD) term is used to describe company policy which allows and governs use of employees-owned devices for work, such as phones, laptops and tablets.

BYOD policies allow various levels of access to company data and systems:

– unlimited access

– access to non-sensitive systems and data only

– access to sensitive data with IT control over personal devices

– access to sensitive data without the ability to store it on personal devices
