Pipelining definition

Pipelining refers to a part of a recruiting process where hiring managers create a pool of qualified individuals due to their skills, experience and traits for future openings for roles that are currently unavailable.

Pipelining process

In this process, the hiring manager tries to build and keep a relationship with potential future candidates and tracks all interactions with them–calls, emails, in-person meetings, interviews, placements and so on.

Pipelining benefits

The biggest benefit is that at all times there is a candidate pool of qualified potential candidates to which an employer can turn to in need of new personnel.

It also saves time and money.
