Agent insurance is an employee who sells the products of a single insurance company, in contrast to a broker, who sells the insurance products of several companies.

An insurance agent represents an insurance company and you are their client, whereas insurance broker represents you. Insurance agents offer you products available with the company with whom they are associated and are responsible for accurate processing of forms, paperwork and premiums. They can represent maximum of one life/general/health insurance and give you detailed insights about it.
