The goal for a successful interview for Sales Training Specialist is to assess the candidate’s ability to design and implement effective sales training programs, evaluate training effectiveness and align training programs with the organization’s sales goals.

  • One of your sales reps repeatedly fails to close deals, despite being knowledgeable about the product and industry. How do you identify the root cause of the problem and what steps do you take to coach them to improve their performance?
  • Your organization is introducing new products and services that require your sales team to learn new skills and techniques. However, some members of the team are resistant to change and prefer the old ways of doing things. How do you get everyone on board with the new training initiative?
  • A customer has complained about poor service from a sales rep, and you realize that this rep needs additional coaching and training. However, this individual is resistant to feedback and believes that their approach is already effective. How do you motivate them to accept the training and make improvements to their approach?
