We are looking for a hardworking Mover who will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another. In this position, you will be expected to load and unload items, pack and wrap items, and ensure that they are transported safely and efficiently. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area and provide excellent customer service.

Mover duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in loading and unloading furniture and other household items onto and off of moving trucks
  • Pack and wrap furniture and other household items to ensure their safe transport
  • Drive moving trucks to and from job sites
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a positive moving experience
  • Ensure that all items are properly secured in the moving truck to prevent damage during transport
  • Perform basic maintenance on moving trucks, such as checking oil and tire pressure
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing job duties

Mover requirements and qualifications

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
  • Prior experience in moving or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety procedures
  • Familiarity with packing and loading techniques
  • Ability to operate moving equipment such as dollies and hand trucks
