The goal for a successful interview for EMT S is to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of emergency medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Situational interview questions

  • Your ambulance team responds to a scene where a patient is experiencing a severe allergic reaction. You administer epinephrine but notice that the patient is still struggling to breathe. How would you approach the situation?
  • Your ambulance is called to a scene where multiple individuals have been involved in a car accident. One patient is unconscious and in critical condition, while the other is conscious but severely injured. How would you prioritize these patients and approach their care?
