  • Suppose you have been asked to increase traffic to a company’s blog where traffic has stagnated since its inception. What steps would you take to identify the problem and increase engagement?
  • Suppose that some areas of a company’s website are not performing as expected in terms of metrics, how would you investigate and identify problematic pages and optimize them?
  • Suppose you notice that a brand’s social media presence is not as strong as their competitors. What strategies would you employ to boost their presence and maximize results?
  • Suppose you’re tasked with finding ways to reduce the bounce rate on website landing pages. Can you describe how you’d go about evaluating and improving user engagement to solve this problem?
  • Suppose you realize that an important aspect of your company’s SEO effort is underperforming, which results in a significant decline in Google page rankings. What steps would you take to diagnose and address the issue?

Soft skills interview questions

  • How do you handle conflicting opinions or feedback from multiple stakeholders?
  • Can you give an example of how you have successfully motivated a team to meet challenging goals or deadlines?
  • Describe a time when you had to adapt your communication style to effectively work with someone who had a different personality or work style.

  • How familiar are you with SEO best practices for content management, such as keyword research, meta descriptions, and alt tags?

2. Have you ever faced a situation where you had to work on creating a content plan for a product launch? What was your role in that situation? What actions did you take to ensure the content was delivered timely, and what was the outcome?

3. Could you describe a challenge you faced while managing multiple social media channels? What tasks were assigned to you to tackle those challenges, what action plan did you implement, and what were the outcomes of those actions?

4. Can you talk about a time when you had to edit a large content piece with a tight deadline? What was your task, what action plan did you take, and what were the results?

5. Have you ever been responsible for a content project that required cross-functional collaboration? What was your role in that project, what were the tasks assigned to you, how did you communicate with other teams, and what results did you achieve through your actions?
