Barback job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Barback who will be responsible for supporting bartenders and ensuring the cleanliness of the bar area. In this position, you will be expected to assist in the preparation of drinks, maintain inventory levels, and ensure that the bar is well-stocked and organized. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the bar area is clean and tidy at all times, and that all glasses and utensils are washed and sanitized properly.

Barback duties and responsibilities

  • Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks
  • Restock bar supplies and ensure that all necessary items are available
  • Clean and maintain the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and washing glassware
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up the bar at the beginning of the shift and breaking down the bar at the end of the night
  • Ensure that the bar is clean and well-stocked at all times
  • Assist with inventory management, including keeping track of supplies and notifying management when items are running low
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about the menu and bar offerings
