We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor who will oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and implementing and maintaining accounting processes and procedures.
Accounting Supervisor duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and policies to comply with regulations and company standards
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision making
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
Accounting Supervisor requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred
