We are looking for a hospitable Host who will be responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring their satisfaction during their stay. In this position, you will be expected to have excellent communication and customer service skills. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met and resolving any issues that may arise.

Host duties and responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome
  • Show guests to their table and present menus
  • Answer any questions guests may have about the menu or restaurant
  • Take reservations and manage the waiting list
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean and tidy at all times
  • Assist servers with bringing food and drinks to tables
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed

Host requirements and qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
