You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met and resolving any issues that may arise.

Host duties and responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome
  • Show guests to their table and present menus
  • Answer any questions guests may have about the menu or restaurant
  • Take reservations and manage the waiting list
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean and tidy at all times
  • Assist servers with bringing food and drinks to tables
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed

Host requirements and qualifications
