The goal for a successful Controls Engineer interview is to assess the candidate’s technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities related to designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems.

Situational interview questions

  • You are working on a new manufacturing project and one of the automated machines isn’t functioning properly. How would you go about troubleshooting the issue?
