Architect Interview Questions

The goal for a successful interview for an Architect is for the hiring manager to confidently determine that the candidate has the necessary technical skills and experience to design and oversee the construction of buildings and structures, has a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, and can effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and team members.

  • You are leading a team of architects to design a high-rise building with a unique design. How would you evaluate the idea, and what steps would you take to mitigate potential negative feedback or pushback?
  • You are working on a renovation project that requires adaptive reuse of an old building, but the structure is not in good condition. How would you approach this project and balance the safety and structural integrity of the building with the need to preserve its historical value and character?
